James: Man, that girl was hot.
Josh: No she wasn't. She was ugly. I'd rather fuck my mom than her.
Lin (a minute or so later): Who's fucking who's mom?

That was a funny conversation between a couple guys in my friend Jordan's quad on residence last night. They had totally conflicting views on this girl this guy was talking about, and how he didn't hook up with her. I thought maybe it was because she had a boyfriend, as he also mentioned, but he said she was ugly. I think it's pretty sad how for some guys the issue of a boyfriend means nothing if they want to hook up, and it's just all about looks.
As far as my friend Lin (full name Yin Chung Lin), well he's just a little out of it sometimes, and responded a little late. It was funny though, and a great line.
Last night was just another night drinking on residence, they do it every Thursday in my friend Jordan's quad. It's pretty fun, although for me last night I held off because Wednesday night was a bit of a gong show. I still had a few beers, just not as much as normal. It was a decent showing, and there was myself, Jordan, Thea, Chris, a couple guys named Josh, James, Louie, Laura, and then Mohammed, Lin and Mariliena all stopped by at some point. For many of you reading this, these are just names I know.

THE SUM 41 CONCERT, AND BUCK A BEER AT THE MAX

After getting the ticket on Monday at the Omega meeting, I was pretty excited and was counting down the days until the Sum 41 concert would hit Sport Mart Place. Well, last night was the night, and what a night it was. Full of ups, downs, and classic moments. Like when I lost my hat, well not really good, but oh well, it happens. It was tough hanging on to it in that mosh pit. Amongst all the body surfers, head bangers, guys pushing, girls scratching, pulling my shirt and elbows and knees to the face, back and chest, looking after my hat was quite the task.
It was about 11 p.m. when I got into the Max, then I settled down with a couple of beers. I mean it was buck a beer, I couldn't hold back. After those two drinks, Mark Hunter and I slammed a couple glasses back, then I had another glass, then I decided it was my turn to get a pitcher, so I went to the counter, ordered one, and brought it back to the table. Alcohol had already hit me at this point. I didn't have a big dinner, so I'm sure that played a factor too.
The rest of the night I spend socializing and dancing, which Meghan said looked ridiculous, I imagine it did, I had a fair bit to drink. After spending some time roaming around and dancing with various girls, I ran into Danielle and Jen ( a couple of first-year journalism students at the bar that night), who I was dancing with earlier, just after last call. I managed to pull off getting a ride home with them which was handy, and easier than getting a cab. The next day I was hungover, but today I'm fine, and ready to go hit the books and do some schoolwork.
Anyways, I'm taking it easy this weekend. I have some work to do, and I can't afford to keep spending money on alcohol. Besides, I've decided to go to the Max again next Wednesday, so I'll take it easy until then.
